Who are we?
Timm Blue Conservation was founded in 2015 as a legacy to Peter Timm, a pioneer in his trade with a passion for teaching others about the beauty and diversity of South Africa.
We provide nature field guide training in the terrestrial and marine environment, and are the first to offer tailor made bespoke courses!
Conservation is our goal
At Timm Blue we have a very strong conservation ethic and this subject is taught thoroughly with the nature guide course and more specifically in our brand-new Marine and Coastal Guide Course where we cover sustainable seafood initiatives and look at how we can make a difference to our oceans and ultimately the planet’s survival!
We believe in eco-tourism and protecting our country’s natural flora, fauna and oceans. We are working with award winning environmentalist and lecturers, along with significant conservationists such as WILDLANDS and WILDOCEANS trusts, SASSI/WWF and Shark Life SA. Our aim together being to unite and continue to educate further.
We strive to offer these courses at a competitive price and still offer our students the opportunity to experience training at several different stunning locations, not just at one camp.
Working as a field guide involves being able to adapt and offer an interpretation of many different ecosystems, we want to equip you with practical experience of just this during your training with Timm Blue.
Where are we?
We are situated in Northern KwaZulu-Natal at Triton Dive Lodge, a scuba diving lodge in a tranquil bush environment.
One of the many benefits to enrolling on one of our course’s, is that you will be able to experience training in a number of different locations.
It is important for us that you train as much in the wilderness as possible, to enable you to take your qualification and guide anywhere in South Africa! Timm Blue camp is situated 10kms from the iSimangaliso Wetland Park beach, so you we can train you on our unique marine ecosystem as well as the extensive terrestrial factors.
