Team of knowledge

Timm Blue has put together a team of knowledgeable and enthusiastic instructors to guide students through the theoretical and practical components of the Professional Nature Field Site Guide Training and Marine and Coastal Guiding courses.
Students also can choose to progress and advance their training with us, and undertake a VPDA Viewing Potential Dangerous Animals Course including rifle handling under EKZN Ezemvelo KwaZulu Natal Wildlife.
After gaining their qualifications, Timm Blue students can receive the invaluable experience and exciting opportunity of working with either surrounding reserves or SAAMBR. This incorporates uShaka Sea World and the Oceanographic Research Institute for short placements as interns and guides for marine and wildlife researchers and scientists. Students can be involved with monitoring endangered species and working in the field for various conservation project. 

Natural environment

The natural environment surrounding Sodwana Bay consists of numerous game and wilderness areas, plus its amazing shoreline with abundant coral reefs provides a uniquely diverse setting for training of this kind. The busy Triton Dive Lodge gives students valuable insight into the tourism industry, exposing them to day-to-day life in a vibrant and responsibly run bush camp facility.
Marine and Coastal Guide students couldn’t be in a better location to achieve their qualifications. From the beaches and coral reefs of Sodwana Bay to the St Lucia Wetlands, Lakes and rocky shores of Kosi Bay to the mangroves of Mtunzini. We really do have the facilities to provide you with an extensive and memorable training experience.
